Search Engine Optimisation
Everyone wants their website at the top of the search engine, so competition is fierce for the top spot. But being top for your own name is easy, it’s being top for all of your services where things become trickier.
Organic vs Paid advertising
Organic advertising is where the search engine indexes your website and you naturally appear in the search rankings when people put in there keywords. It is based on your title, descriptions, images and other factors. Paid advertising is where you specify keywords that your clients will search and then bid for the top spot for the link to your site. It is good to have a mixture of the two, you’ll know when you have the organic results right when you can start reducing your paid advertising.
Things to remember
Just because your top for your search when you search for it from your machine doesn’t mean you are for others. Google tailors its searches to you, you are most interested in your website, so it is likely to feature at the top of your searches.
The same search in Guildford isn’t going to give your the same results in Chichester, as location is taken into account as well.
The internet is always changing, so your SEO needs to be changing with it.
